The ground penetrating radar equipment is made up of an antenna and a processor. The antenna has a transmitter and a control unit. The transmitter sends out a radio frequency that reflects off objects under the surface of the medium you are scanning back to the control unit. The receiving antenna detects this reflected radio-wave. It is then sent to the GPR system’s control unit where it digitizes the radio-waves in real-time and displays them on a screen.
